Ready-to-drink cocktail review Austin Cocktail's Margarita

Yes, it's another margarita - but it's *FANCY*! It has Bergamot Oranges!

Last week, I did a pop-up shop for my drinkware line at my local BevMo and of course I had to do a little shopping before I left. I was perusing the ready-to-drink cocktail selection and this bottle caught my eye.

Have you seen this line of bottled cocktails from Austin Cocktails before?

I love that this cocktail is in a larger bottle instead of individual servings so you can decide how much to put in your glass. You're a grown lady after all! I also love that this bottle could totally pass as wine if you feel weird walking into a party with a cocktail. (See my whole complex about this issue here. LOL) The label also lists real ingredients which is all I needed to see to be hooked after last week's big win. There were a few different pre-made cocktails available from Austin Cocktails and I decided to go with their margarita because clearly I'm obsessed with margaritas lately.

Dang! I wish I would have picked up one of each! This margarita was GREAT! It is a lot less sweet than the Cayman Jack margaritas but equally as tasty. All of the Austin Cocktails are naturally low cal which gives it a few bonus points in my book. And I think you could pull the mixologist switch-a-roo on you friends with this cocktail and serve it up as if you slaved over their drinks all day - which is my ultimate test for these ready-to-drink cocktails. And it passed!!!

Here is official my score for the Austin Cocktails Bergamot Orange Margarita:

Four cocktail shakers

So tasty! I'd sip this margarita all day long with no complaints. It has a great balance of flavor and kick without being too sweet. You could easily drink this margarita while lounging poolside all day and not feel gross like you over did it on sweets. This margarita would pair perfectly with sunshine and girl time.

Sweetness

Two cocktail shakersOne shaker = not sweet at all  // Five shakers = your teeth may curl

If prefer your cocktails less sweet, you'll love this marg! It is definitely on the less-sweet side. I love that it doesn't have that sickening, sugary triple sec flavor. It's kind of like magic! It tastes fresh and natural with just enough sweetness to balance out the lime and tequila.

Booziness

Four cocktail shakersOne shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos

Officially this one rings in at 12.5% ABV so it's the strongest drink I've reviewed so far. I enjoyed this cocktail over chips and salsa on my patio and this margarita was the perfect addition. It has a great little kick to it and I was feeling warm and fuzzy in no time.

Would I buy this again?

Heck yeah! And I can't wait to try all of the other flavors.

This may be the first time I'm kicking myself for going with a margarita. Austin Cocktails has several appealing options and now I'm wishing I would have branched out a little. I see a trip back to BevMo in my future to pick up their Cucumber Vodka Mojito and Tea Twister.
