More Spiked Cold Brew - because we love you

After trying Cafe Agave's Vanilla Cinnamon flavor I was totally hooked on this amazing, boozy coffee cocktail. Lucky for me I made some new friends over at Cafe Agave and they sent me the other three flavors to try. #luckygirl

This time around I decided to bring in the big guns to help me out - aka my girl boss gang, because drinking with your friends is way more fun. And I wanted to bring y'all more cocktail opinions than just mine. So I twisted their arms and convinced them to blow off work for a few hours and have a canned cocktail with me.

I already knew these Spiked Cold Brews were delicious so it was interesting to see their reactions. It went kind of like this:

Stage #1: "Oh, I'll try this flavor. These cans are so little and cute."

Stage #2: "OMG that is BOOZY. This little can packs a punch."

Stage #3: "This is so good! How is it so yummy?"

Stage #4: (when I suggested they didn't have to drink the whole can if they didn't want to) "Step back girl, this can is mine!"

I'm might be paraphrasing because there was a lot of other chatter along the way but you get the idea. We all agreed that this canned cocktail is super boozy in a great way! These little cans ring in at 12.5% ABV. You can catch your fuzz just a few sips. Which is great if you are looking instant relaxation. Or something to keep in mind if you're not. I recommend slipping slowly if you aren't wanting to get buzzed - but it's going to be hard because these coffee cocktails are so tasty.

For this review, each girl tried one flavor and I tried all of them (not all at once for the record). Alyssa, friend and talented photographer who took these pictures, tried the previously reviewed Vanilla Cinnamon Spiked Cold Brew and perfectly illustrated my point unprompted. You do not need to like coffee to like the Spiked Cold Brew line. While they are coffee drinks, they have more than that going for them.

"I don't like coffee and I like this a lot"
- Alyssa

With that in mind, let's break down the other three flavors from Cafe Agave. Here is our review of each flavor:

Spiked Cold Brew Salted Caramel (brown can):

Overall score:
4 out of 5 cocktail shakers

Heck yeah! Delicious, caramel-y goodness with a big dose of booze. The Salted Carmel is on the sweeter end, which I like. It is sweeter than the Vanilla Cinnamon but not as sweet as the Mocha. It tastes is a little like the salted caramel hot chocolate from Trader Joe's so if you like that plus booze, then this is the flavor you should try first. Though, really you should try them all if you get a chance.

"Yum to the max!"
- Bethany

Spiked Cold Brew Mocha (black can):

Spiked Cold Brew Mocha review by The Pursuit of CocktailsOverall score:
5 out of 5 cocktail shakers

OMG so flippin good! Of all the Spiked Cold Brew's, the Mocha is definitely my very favorite - even though that's like picking your favorite best friend.

If you've been following me for awhile then you know I love a sweet cocktail and this one checks all my boxes. It is sweet AND super boozy. It's a "grown up dessert" in a can. I plan to keep these little treats on hand at all times. Not saying I would do this but . . . I think these would be perfect to sneak into a movie some night. And it's classier than a flask right?

Spiked Cold Brew Espresso (gold can):

Overall score:
4.5 out of 5 cocktail shakers

Of the flavors, the Espresso is the least sweet of the bunch. It packs a punch of real coffee/espresso flavor without any other flavors layered in. When I tasted this one I thought it was just super strong espresso - then I remembered it was boozy. But I think my friend Carly nailed it with her description.

"For a plain coffee drinker like me, this one is perfect because it is not too sweet."
- Carly

Would I buy these again?

Yes, yes and yes. Also I pretty sure these girls will be asking me where I have the extras from this review stashed.

I am officially a super fan of these canned cocktails from Cafe Agave. Brunch at my house will include these Spiked Cold Brews from now on. If you are stopping at the grocery store on your way home from work tonight, think about picking these up for the weekend. You won't regret it!

Cheers babes!

Take a peek. I guarantee you'll find at least one straw you just have to have for your next girls night!

Have you tried this drink? What did you think? I'd love to hear from you in the comments section. The more opinions the better! Let's "drink together" and share our cocktail stories.

  • Ummm you best know that I want these to start off my Saturday mornings! I think I might prefer this over the go-to… mimosas!

  • I absolutely loved the salted caramel! It sure packs a punch at first sip, but then evens out and just gets really yummy! The cinnamon vanilla was my second favorite, but they’re both perfect for someone with a sweet tooth like mine! I’ll definitely be picking up more, cause they’re perfect for a beach day or girls’ brunch.

  • This was so fun!
I really can’t believe it was so boozy and it tasted like a horchata drink, super delicious. 😍
