Canned Cocktail Review: 34° North Cocktail Co Sneaky Pucker (Part 1)

Canned cocktail review of 34 North Cocktail Co Sneaky Pucker

The first sip of this cocktail made me decide to split this review into two parts

Why you ask? Because it was. So. Dang. Good! Not to give away the farm here but wow!

My new friends at 34 North Cocktail Co asked me if they could send me their new canned cocktails to try. Obviously I said yes. I want to try all the cocktails.  And I especially love the smaller, craft distilleries so I was in.

I originally planned to try both of these cocktails last night and write one post about both flavors. I took a peek at the descriptions of each cocktail on the back of the can to decide where to start. The Barrel Thief is a whiskey cocktail and the Sneaky Pucker is a vodka cocktail. I love a whiskey cocktail so I decided to go with Sneaky Pucker first and save the whiskey for my second drink. And that is where all my plans changed.

I popped open the Sneaky Pucker, took one drink, and realized I wouldn't be simply tasting this cocktail to review it. I was going to sit down and savor the whole can - very un-wine tasting protocol of me. But this canned cocktail is way to good to waste and I couldn't bare the thought of putting it back in the fridge to save for later lest the bubbles would go flat. So I made the executive decision to only review the Sneaky Pucker this week and save the Barrel Thief for next week.

Which is how the 34 North Cocktail Co's Sneaky Pucker stole the show this week.

Here is my official review of 34° North Cocktail Co's Sneaky Pucker:

Five cocktail shakers

It's happened again! Another five-cocktail shaker review. Can I just say how pumped I am that craft, ready-to-drink cocktails are starting to take over the market! And I have to say, this one from 34° North Cocktail Co is poised to be on top.

Sneaky Pucker is a canned cocktail version of a vodka lemonade with lavender simply syrup. I tried something similar from 10 Torr last summer (check out my review of their Lavender Lemonade here) and enjoyed it so I was excited to try another lemonade cocktail. WOW! Just wow - it is soooo good. This cocktail is rich in flavor, it's got a great boozy kick with absolutely no alcohol burn and the simple syrup really makes it special. I literally want every single person to try this cocktail!

I wish I had another can of it myself so I could be enjoying a second Sneaky Pucker as I type this at 9:15 in the morning. (It's five o'clock somewhere right?) Bottom line, get your hands on this five-star canned cocktail ASAP.

Sweetness

Four cocktail shakers
One shaker = not sweet at all  // Five shakers = your teeth may curl

This ready-to-drink cocktail is like homemade lemonade in a can - but boozy! It was surprisingly sweet but not so much in a sugary way. More in a rich lemonade way. You don't necessarily notice this cocktails as sweet until you catch how rich it is. Only then do you realize that it is pretty sweet. And as a girl who lives for southern-style sweet tea, I'm over the moon for this lemonade cocktail.

Booziness

Four cocktail shakers
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos

This ready to drink cocktail officially rings in at 12.5% ABV! Queue the confetti cannon! That is what I'm talking about!! As I'm sure you've gathered I'm a fan of the Sneaky Pucker flavor so the strong booze makes me want to happy dance.

You know I love a strong drink and this one does it for me. In terms of beers, this canned cocktail is like drinking two beers. I got a great buzz from just one can and instantly my annoying day faded away. Two thumbs up.

Would I buy this ready to drink cocktail again?

For sure, for sure!!! And I'm excited to try the other flavor from 34° North Cocktail Co next week. (Right now they just have the two flavors.) Make sure to come back next week when I try that Barrel Thief which is their take on an Old Fashion!

  • This sounds so good!! I love lavender and lemon together. Looks like I need to try both this one and the 10 Torr lavender lemonade!
