Canned cocktail review: Two Chicks Margarita

A women owned cocktail line - hell yes!

Do you Instagram stalk your favorite brands? Or is that just me? I've been captivated by the cute packaging of the Two Chicks brand since I first spotted them on Instagram. Throw in that they are a women owned business and I had a full on girl crush!

The only problem - besides the fact that I'll probably never meet these boss babes IRL - is that I couldn't find their cocktails at my usual stores. After months of keeping my eye out for these cute cans, I finally scored one. So, was it worth the all that anticipation? In a word - YES!

Here is my official review of the Two Chicks margarita:

I am starting to feel like a broken record. This is a dang good cocktail!

Maybe I'm getting better at choosing which canned cocktails to try but I think it's more likely that the ready-to-drink cocktail market is hot and everyone is bringing their A game. This margarita from Two Chicks is right there at the top and should not be missed!

This is a VERY drinkable margarita. Not too sweet. Not too tart. Not too overpowering with tequila. I tried this marg while making dinner last night and before I even knew it, I'd drank the whole can. It was so good I kept taking a sip every few minutes until all of a sudden it was gone and I was sad. If I had another can, I would have made it a two cocktail night without giving it a thought. Why didn't I buy two cans?!?!?! Rookie mistake!

One shaker = not sweet at all  // Five shakers = your teeth may curl

This is not a sweet margarita. It has great lime flavor with just enough sweetness to cut the citrus. Just like a marg should be!

One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos

Officially this one rings in at 5% ABV so it has a sort of normal amount of booze. It's not so strong you need to keep an eye on it but strong enough that it will give you a little fuzz. I highly recommend buying a case of these. Don't be like me with just a single can on hand.

Would I buy this ready to drink cocktail again?

Yep, count me in. I'm a fan. When I spotted Two Chicks at World Market, I did a little happy dance and headed right to the register. I'm pretty sure I'll be back there this weekend looking for more.
