Can a craft seltzer win me over?
If you've been following me for awhile you've probably picked up that I'm not the biggest fan of seltzers - hard or otherwise. But I like to try all the canned cocktails I can get my hands on and especially one's from smaller brands which is what led me to pick up this week's canned cocktail from Pacific Sparkling.
I really liked the label (because I'm a sucker) and upon further inspection I realized this craft seltzer is brewed in Oregon. I spent a few years in Portland so I am always on the eye out for anything alcohol related from OR. Those brewmasters know what they are doing! I was also intrigued by the key lime flavor of this hard seltzer. I don't remember seeing that flavor in any of the others I've tried so I picked it up.
I was originally going to review a different cocktail this week but I've been sick all week and the idea of a strong whiskey drink was not appealing. I switched my plan over to this one and I'm so glad I did. A hard seltzer is like the grown up version of Sprite right?
Here is my official review of thePacific Sparkling Key Lime hard seltzer :
This is a super solid hard seltzer. And the key lime flavor is really good! I'm so happy I decided to try this one this week. It really is like a spiked lemon-lime soda and I literally ONLY drink those when I'm sick so this was perfect timing.
While I'll never jump up and down about a hard seltzer, I really liked this one. I thought it was unique to other seltzers in that it had a much more prominent flavor. You could taste the flavor all the way through each sip instead of it being like an after thought you only picked up on if you thought about it directly. (Obviously, I'm not team seltzer. If you love that about seltzers, just ignore me!)
If you like hard seltzers, keep your eye out for Pacific Sparkling. I think they are worth a try.
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
This is definitely not a sweet cocktail which is true to form for most hard seltzers.
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos
Officially this one rings in at 5% ABV which is a bump up from a lot of the hard seltzer which are generally in the 2-4%. I have to give Pacific Sparkling props for adding a little bit more booze to their hard seltzer.
Would I buy this ready to drink cocktail again?
I would like to say maybe but it's probably more realistic that the answer is no simply because it is a hard seltzer. As far as hard seltzers go, I would consider picking up Pacific Sparkling again. And I would recommend this line to a friend who likes hard seltzers.
Have you tried any Pacific Sparkling's hard seltzers yet? Which flavors do you like the best? I'd love to hear from you in the comments section. The more opinions the better! Let's "drink together" and share our cocktail stories.

WARNING!
DO NOT DRINK THIS IF YOU HAVE A HOP ALERGY!
It is, in fact, a malt beverage and not a very good one at that. They need to change their labeling or they will hurt someone.
