Hi cocktail lovers! I have something super exciting for you this week - our first ever cocktail in a box!! Think boxed wine but WAY better.
If you've been following me for a while then you know I am absolutely obsessed with the Crafthouse Cocktails line of ready-to-drink cocktails. All of their cocktails are swanky hipster bar worthy so they are obviously one of my go-to favorites as an avid "lazy" bartender. Originally they had their cocktails in larger, wine bottle sized bottles which contained 4-6 cocktails which what drew me to the brand initially. I loved the idea of being able to take a larger ready-to-drink cocktail to a party (instead of wine or beer) but something better than a pre-made margarita from Costco. And it was loved at first sip. The Crafthouse Cocktails drew me in for the convenience aspect but what was inside the bottle stunned me and has kept me coming back to them over and over.
Next Crafthouse rolled out their individual sized aluminum bottle cocktails and I tried those as well. I love the individual sized drinks as well and the aluminum bottles keep the cocktails nice and cold which is great for outdoor parties. They are also the perfect size to mix and match in your cooler so you have a few options for your guests.
Now Crafthouse is changing the game again with their party boxes. These boxes contain 15 cocktails!!! In one container. And you get to pour it from a spout right into your glass - or mouth if you want to be extra about it. No judgement here. The Crafthouse party boxes are perfect for places you can't take their glass bottles - i.e. the beach, on a boat, etc - and you still want to take a larger quantity of cocktails without lugging 15 cans or bottles. Personally, I'll probably keep one of these party boxes poolside with me all summer long.
Naturally I *had* to try the party boxes out and my bffs over at Crafthouse hooked me up with their newest cocktail - the spicy margarita - so this is a dual review. One part party box + one part spicy margarita. Let the pouring begin!

Oh yeah! The party box is exactly when we all need this summer! After one of the longest years ever, and a kinda sucky last summer, we all deserve lots of yummy, outdoor cocktails this year. I loved how easy it was to grab a margarita from this box. I literally grabbed a glass, got some ice, opened the fridge, and pressed the button to pour myself a drink. I didn't even have to take it off the shelf or out of the fridge. This could be a problem it was so easy!
And the spicy margarita itself? Perfection! I love a spicy margarita and this one is exactly that without trying to do anything fancy like having ghost pepper infused vapor. 🙄 The Crafthouse spicy margarita has a great traditional margarita flavor that you'd expect from these master mixologist and then they've layered on some heat. It is more heat that spice so don't worry if you don't like spicy things. This spicy margarita isn't like a too hot salsa. It's more like a solid margarita with a little bit of heat that warms up the back of your throat as you drink it.
I loved it! And because of the aforementioned ease, I had two refills last night alone. I'd be shocked if this box lasted the weekend!

This ready to drink margarita officially rings in at 14% ABV so that's a pretty solid cocktail. I could instantly feel the day and my stress ease with the first sip which is exactly what I'm looking for in a cocktails. Crafthouse always knows how to make my day better!
Would I buy this ready to drink cocktail again?
