A still water drink? Not sparkling water? Hmmmm...
While pursuing my local grocery store for new cocktails to try I spotted this. A spiked still water? Usually these things are spiked sparking or seltzer water - which as you know, I'm not a huge fan of. La Croix and I are not besties. I'll drink one every now and then but I prefer my water still or carbonated. Which is why I obviously had to try this new drink from Pura Still.
My store had three flavors - mango, mandarin orange and blackberry. I opted for blackberry and headed for home. I honestly wasn't expecting too much from this cocktail -because of my previous reviews spiked sparking waters - but I love to try new/smaller brands, so I was willing to give it a go for us.
Once I was home and looked at it a little more closely at the bottle I realized it is made with cane sugar which has always faired well in past cocktail reviews, and it's made with coconut water which surprised me. I don't love coconut water straight but I love flavored coconut waters - especially to save me from a hangover. Now I was intrigued. Lucky for me I had grabbed this bottle out of the chilled section so I went ahead and twisted the top of and took a drink right then.
Wow!
Good wow or bad wow.....?
Here is my official review of the Pura Still Water in blackberry:
It is surprisingly good! It is just like regular water with a hint of blackberry. It doesn't have that weird mineral taste like sparkling water does. It's just water with a bit of flavor. I kinda like it! :)
While there isn't a ton of "taste" to judge this by I do really like this ready to drink cocktail - is it a cocktail? Idk but for our purposes, we'll go with yes. These are going to be *perfect* for summer pool parties and BBQs. The drink is super light - only 90 calories - with a low alcohol percentage so they'll be perfect for long days of day drinking outside.
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
I should probably make a one-cocktail-shaker image just for this review. It's water - so it's not sweet AT ALL. Which is pretty perfect for hot sweaty summer days of drinking. (I'm having a flash back to a country festival I attended last year. I was too hot to drink anything sugary but this would have been perfect.)

One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos
This bottled cocktail rings in at 4.5% ABV - which is basically as low as you can go. It is right in line with a light beer.
Would I buy these again?
I would. I can definitely see picking these up for an outdoor party or anytime you're going somewhere and you want to drink but not get wild.
I will definitely be heading back to try the other two flavors soon.

I was so pleasantly surprised with the flavor I thought oh no I’m going to try it because it’s on clearance and oh no it’s probably going to give me heartburn and upset my stomach but I’m going to go ahead and try it so to my surprise it was not carbonated and actually very light and the best thing I’ve ever drank in my whole life it’s absolutely wonderful that has coconut water in it so it helps you hydrate low carb no carbs actually and low calories amazing I will beer spokeswoman if you let me.
