Cipriani Bellini

Cipriani Bellini ready-to-drink cocktail review by The Pursuit of Cocktails

Pass me the champagne

I live for a champagne cocktail. You don't see them often and if you do it is almost always a standard mimosa or a bellini. While I love both of those options, given the choice, I will always go with a bellini. I think bellini's are the bougie-er, prettier one of the two. It's a little more exotic because of the peach nectar and harder to replicate at home. Because of my high bellini standards and how important to right peach flavor is, I'm always a little unsure when I see any type of ready-to-drink bellini.

This one does seem different though. As the bottle explains, this pre-made cocktail is the original Giuseppe Cipriani bellini straight from Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy. It's Italian so it has to be good right? Let's find out.

Here is my official review of Cipriani Bellini:

Five cocktail shakers

Holy crap you guys! This is AMAZING. I am shook. I love it. And I swear, it is not just pretty bottle that has my heart.

I popped this open with my friend E after a particularly awful day. I was hoping the bubbles would cheer me up. And boy did they! The first sip of this ready-to-drink bellini took me all the way back to a loooooong brunch I had at a champagne bar in Phoenix. That place served the best champagne cocktails I've ever had and this bottle could hold it's own in a contest with them. Wow! Just wow! I am officially in love!

If you need me, I'll be at World Market buying their entire inventory. Or booking a flight to Harry's Bar in Italy so I can do a side-by-side comparison. That would be a business expense right?

Sweetness

Four cocktail shakers
One shaker = not sweet at all  // Five shakers = your teeth may curl

This is a sweet cocktail but not in a sugary way. The flavor is not at all artificial which is kind of surprising - and super amazing! If you have ever made bellini's at home then you know finding good peach nectar to use is tricky. Some of them taste like fake peaches. Some of them taste like they've been sitting on the shelf for 100 years. And most of them, just plain have zero fresh fruit taste. I've always had the best luck at Hispanic grocery stores. They know how to do peaches right.

But back to my point, the peach in a bellini is the star.  This pre-made cocktail is sweet because of the amazing peach nectar used in the mix. It is fresh, flavorful and if I didn't know better, I'd think someone in the back of the restaurant was squeezing peaches just for me. But this delightful cocktail came pre-made in a bottle so there are no guys in the back squeezing fresh peaches.

The sweet peach flavor in the Cipriani Bellini is perfection in my book. And even better, from now on, I'm just going to pick up this bottle when I'm in the mood for a bellini instead of running all over town looking for my favorite peach juice.

Booziness

Two cocktail shakers
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos

This one does not have an ABV % since it is champagne based but I can say it has a nice little fuzz factor. It would probably take the whole bottle to give you much of a buzz but then, it's so good that would be *extremely* easy to have a whole bottle to yourself. No judgement here.

Would I buy this ready to drink cocktail again?

Yes! In bulk! Next time I see a wine sale at World Market I am going to get alllllll of these. This bellini is so good, it's the perfect hostess gift, and it is my new go-to to have on hand for impromptu guests. Don't even hesitate. Go buy this right now!!
