Let's hear it for the ladies!
A few weeks ago I tried a ready-to-drink margarita from the woman-owned canned cocktail line Two Chicks. If you missed it you can read it here. Afterwards they reached out to me and offered to send me two more of their gorgeously packaged canned cocktails. Obviously I jumped at the chance given how yummy their marg was.
The two new cocktails, a sparkling Paloma and a sparkling Vodka Fizz, arrived just in time for me to take them on a girls trip I had planned in Vegas so I packed up my cocktails and hit the road. By the way, arriving with canned cocktails always makes you extra popular!
I enlisted a few new friends in this week's review and took advantage of the Insta-worthy set up at the Queen Bee Market for my photos. These cans matched everything so perfectly I couldn't help myself. I was totally that girl hogging the whole backdrop area for my own photo shoot. Sorry, not sorry!
Pretty pictures aside, here is what I thought of the cocktails...

I always think of Palomas as the exotic cousin of a margarita. They are made with grapefruit instead of lime but they are definitely related.
The Two Chicks Sparkling Paloma did not disappoint. It was right on par with their margarita. It was tart, refreshing, light and easy to drink. The grapefruit was not overwhelming at all and the bubbles were a nice addition to a traditional Paloma.
I had a new friend try this one with me and she immediately said "oh! That's good." in that surprised way people always do when they realize not all canned cocktails are as lame and flavorless as White Claws. (As a side note, I had to really control myself to not tell every single person on The Stripe I saw drinking a White Claw that they were totally missing out on all the amazing canned cocktails out there. White Claws are a total waste of space in my option. Face palm. Okay, rant over.)
Anywho, the Two Chicks Sparkling Paloma definitely surprised more than one person I had taste test it with me. I love being able to share canned cocktail goodness with new people and both of these Two Chicks cocktails gained a bunch of new fans at the Queen Bee Market.

Put down your drink! You aren't going to want to miss this one!!!
Unlike the Paloma, I wasn't sure what this Vodka Fizz would be like. The can says it is made with pear and elderflower. I've had elderflower cocktails that I've really liked but I can't recall ever having a pear cocktail. And after trying one sip of this Two Chicks cocktails I'm wondering why there aren't more pear cocktails. This is a seriously amazing drink that totally took me by surprise - and I kind of hated to share it! But I'm a nice girl so I did. My friend S was also taken by surprise with this cocktail and not much gets a rise out of this girl. She was uncharacteristically impressed. :)
Unlike last week's Tip Top Negroni which is also amazing drink, this one was light and refreshing as opposed to a serious, sipping cocktail. The Two Chicks cocktails are all 5% ABV so they about the same as a light beer which makes this Vodka Fizz sooooo drinkable. You could easily enjoy several of these at a concert or backyard party this summer and not feel like you were missing out on a "real" cocktail. It's not too sweet or too heavy, it has a light but full flavor and is all around delightful! And that pear! I've been thinking about this cocktail all week after trying it last weekend. You know I try a lot of canned cocktails but I won't soon forget about this one. It's in my all-time top ten for sure.
This Two Chicks Sparkling Vodka Fizz is exactly why this craft canned cocktail movement is so exciting. This is a super legit cocktail with a unique flavor combo that just happens to be in the convenience of a can. The can itself is an afterthought here not the main attraction - although their cans are beautiful. My point is, Two Chicks is proving that you can have a really good cocktail in a can. Take that White Claw!

Would I buy these again?
Yes! That Sparkling Vodka Fizz stole my heart with its unique pear flavor. I am also now on the hunt for the final three cocktails in the Two Chicks line. I HAVE to try them all now. And when I do, I'll make sure to review them here so you're in the know as well.

Our local stores are always out of the Elderflower Pear which is the only one I drink, in fact I’m obsessed! It’s only carried at our Meijer and occasionally Walmart. I was told the warehouse was out of stock. Help!
