Happy Friday cocktail lovers! You are in for a treat this week! I had been creeping on this brand for awhile and then one day their PR company reached out to me about sending samples. To say I was excited would be an understatement. There is just something about this brand, it's gold caps, it's mysterious name and logo, I've just been hooked on the aura. I'm talking about Drnxmyth. Have you seen this brand on Instagram? It is just sooooo clearly the cool kid.
Right from the jump my experience with this brand has been way different. Starting right off the bat with the fact that the cocktails arrived chilled in a cooler! Next, part of the magic of these ready-to-drink cocktails is that they use fresh, cold pressed juices - hence the need to keep them cold. And each bottle also has an expiration label on it which you don't typically see but totally makes since with the pressed juices.
Begrudgingly I put these pretty pretty cocktails in my fridge on the day they arrived and waited until this week to try them (I do my best to review the cocktails in the order they come to me to be fair. It's my Midwest roots, I can't help it!).
So earlier this week it was finally time and I grabbed the Classic Margarita out of the fridge, gave it a shake, opened it up and took a sip. When I say my eyes watered and my throat burned, I'm not exaggerating. I also said a few bad words that included bleep bleep pure tequila bleep bleep. Bummer!
Then yesterday I was doing a whole video thing for the socials using the cucumber margarita and when I went to pour it into my perfectly styled and set up cocktail glass, only half the liquid came out. I could still see liquid in the bottom of the bottle along with some yummy looking spices. I stopped the video, looked down in the bottle and could see another bottom with an opening that was clearly closed. What the heck?
Turns out, I'm an idiot. Even though I "thought" I read the bottle - it says to twist and shake" - I didn't actually read the bottle. It's a TWO CHAMBER BOTTLE!! You TWIST the bottom of the bottle open. Then you SHAKE to mix the two chambers. It is so cool, so genius, so fun - and I totally missed it at first because I was too oblivious even though I've been excited about this brand forever. If that is not a reminder to slow down and really drink in life I don't. know what is. Also, this bad ass, false bottom bottle raises the brand's cool sway even higher!
Just to connect the dots of this embarrassing story a little bit more for you, when I tried the Classic Margarita, I did in fact just take two shots of straight tequila out of the bottle. Which is kind of what I thought I had done and I was wondering where the orange liqueur, fresh cold pressed lime juice and agave flavors were. After I discovered how to actually properly enjoy Dryxmyth cocktails, I circled back and gave the Classic marg another try.
With all of that being said, here are my official reviews of the pre-made margaritas from Drnxmyth.

I have never been so happy that my first impression was wrong. This is a damn good margarita. The tequila is a really nice, high quality - which I can especially attest to since I accidentally took a few shots of it straight. The lime and orange liqueur is perfect. It is slightly sweet. But the thing that strikes me the most is that you can actually taste the margarita salt. I sipped this straight out of the bottle (don't come for me, I was being lazy), so I didn't have a salted rim but I still got a full margarita, salted rim experience. Upon further inspection the label does mention "salt drops" which is not something I've ever seen on another ready-to-drink cocktail label. I am telling you, this brand is onto something with multiple unique, out of the box takes on what a ready-to-drink cocktail can be. Plus this Classic Margarita might be my new favorite pre-made marg.

Wowza! This is the best cocktail I've drank in a long time. It is still true to it's margarita roots but it also has this extra layer of yummy cucumber, almost like spa water, and a little bit of spice. It's not hot spice, just spice. It's incredible! (I don't think I've ever used that word on this blog.) I'm obsessed. You *have* to try this Cucumber Margarita ASAP!
The Drnxmyth bottles each contain two cocktails so you can share with a friend. And I will NOT be sharing this one with a friend. I will be drinking every drop by myself and loving it. I will however buy a friend their own bottle. I'm just not sharing mine. LOL
15/10 possibly my favorite cocktail this year.

YES! So much yes!!!
Thankfully my friends at Drnxmyth did send me three other cocktails to try so I'll be back with those next week. And I can guarantee I'll be buying these Drnxmyth margaritas often.
Don't worry if you haven't seen these in stores in your area. I'm not actually sure they are even available in stores.
