Happy Friday cocktail lovers! I have a colorful and fun cocktail line to share with you today - Miami Cocktail Co. You know I love good branding and from the moment I got this gorgeous box, in my very favorite color, from the brand I was already swooning. Plus each of the cans inside is a different vibrant color that really captures that Miami vibe. Everything about this packaging says fun to me.
After I stopped fan girl-ing about the box I was able to focus in more on the details of the actual cocktails - aka the important stuff. So what makes this brand special is that all of their cocktails are wine spritzers that use only organic ingredients, no sugar, they are gluten free, and only 110 calories. I'm not going to lie, a few of those things have me nervous to try them. First off, I'm not into wine usually. And two, low cal and sugar free usually equals flavorless, or overly flavored with fake stuff when it comes to cocktails. But Miami Cocktail Co doesn't have the fake stuff and they use rosé and agave wine which are basically the two exceptions I have to my wine distaste soooo I'm pumped to try these.
I will be trying the full line over the next few weeks starting with the Mandarin Rosé Mimosa Spritz. These cans are too pretty to skip so I decided to sip straight from the can using bendy paper straws from my shop. I mean, can we just talk about how perfectly the straws pair with the Miami Cocktail Co cans?!? Perfection!
Here is my official review of Miami Cocktail Co's Mimosa:
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
This mimosa spritz is not sweet at all. It is slightly tart from the citrus juice and just sweet enough to take the edge off the tartness.
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = OG Four Lokos
This Miami Cocktail Mandarin Rosé Mimosa Spritz officially rings in at 4.2% ABV which makes sense for a spritz. Normally I don't love lightly boozed cocktails but in this case it totally works for me. It has major brunch, day drinking vibes for me and I think 4% is perfect. It's an easy, light, but still flavorful cocktail.
Would I buy this ready to drink cocktail again?
Yes - and not just because the cans are pretty, which is something I would totally do too. LOL But in all seriousness, yes, I'm surprised how much I liked this light, wine cocktail. I'm in on the Miami Cocktail mimosa and now I'm pumped to try the rest of the line.
If you want to try the Mandarin Rosé Mimosa Spritz too, you can pick it up online from Total Wine.
