TGIF cocktail lovers! This week I am trying a few of the canned cocktails from Blue Marble. This is a brand that I've seen at Total Wine in the past but it never really drew me in. You know I'm a packaging junkie and the label on these just doesn't do it for me. Yes, I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but I'm a designer, I can't help it! Anyway, when the brand reached out to me to see if they could send me samples I couldn't say no. I like to try anything that comes my way so of course I said yes and they even let me pick out the ones I wanted to try the most.
For this week's review I'm trying their Cosmo and their Coconut Island cocktails. I'll be back next week with their Moscow Mule and Bloody Mary. They were also nice enough to send me some of their hard seltzers so I'll review those a little later in the summer.
Fingers crossed I like what's inside the can better than I like the outside of the branding. Let's do this!
Blue Marble Cosmo:
Overall score: 4 / 5
Sweetness:
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = OG Four Lokos
Yep, I'm a jerk for judging this cocktail by it's can. This is a damn good Cosmo. It has a really nice cranberry flavor, hint of tartness, and super smooth vodka. If you poured this out of the can, into a fancy glass and served it to a friend, they would have no idea this was a canned cocktail!
And it's boozy!! It rings in at 15% so it really does taste and feel like a upscale bar cocktail. I've tried several Cosmos on this blog and a lot of times they are "sparkling" which is usually code for light - on flavor and booze. But this one from Blue Marble is a full fledged cocktail and a really good one at that.
This Cosmo has a richer cranberry juice that some and it is a bit sweeter which I really love. I'm officially a fan.

Blue Marble Coconut Island:
Sweetness:
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = OG Four Lokos
This! This is the tropical cocktail I've been craving for months. It is so coconut-y from the super smooth rum mixed with a really nice pineapple juice. It is rich and sweet without being too sweet. It feels very indulgent. Major vacation vibes with this one.
Once again, this can tricked me. I love this cocktail! It is going on my all-time favorites list and I feel so bad for not giving it a chance sooner. Don't be like me. Don't miss out on the Blue Marble cocktails just because the branding isn't as flashy as some of the others. I'm super excited to try the other two canned cocktails now!

Would I buy these again?
Totally! And I'll probably tell everyone in line and the cashier that they should try these too. I am planning to have a big pool party this summer and I will definitely be adding Coconut Island cocktails to my shopping list.
Come back next week when I'll be tasting the Blue Marble Moscow Mule and the Bloody Mary. Until then, cheers!
