TJ's is always a good idea
I have been sniffing out the booze at Trader Joe's for awhile now. While traditionally they have only carried beer, wine, and a maybe if you're lucky a handful of liquors, they seem to be getting the message that cocktails are back in a major way. Recently I've noticed the addition of more liquors, mixers, a spiked seltzer that I hear is really good, and the bottled cocktail we are here to review today.
The Secco Rossini's first caught my eye because they are pretty. Five pretty, pastel colors in a sexy matte champagne bottle? There might as well have been a sign with my name on it right above them. I debated for a while whether or not these bellini like bottled cocktails were really a cocktail. But then I remembered I make the rules around here and I decided YES. Yes, they are a cocktail in my book because they are not beer or wine. Technically it is a mix of champagne and fruit puree. Plus, they definitely fall into my "easy entertaining" category which is what this blog is all about.
So here we are. We are doing it. We are trying the strawberry and raspberry rossini.
Soooo good! I served this cocktail at a "spa party" themed photo shoot (more about that party set up in a few weeks) and this bottled cocktail was a huge hit. It's girly. It's pretty. It's bubbly. And even our fearless photographer Alyssa - who doesn't drink much, basically survives on sweets, and doesn't care for most cocktails - loved this one.
This champagne cocktail is sweet, fruity and super easy to drink. While I don't know that I would have multiple glasses of this in one sitting, I was definitely looking for the bottle for a refill before my first glass was gone.
This cocktail will go fast so I'd recommend picking up multiple bottles if you are having several people over. There are five flavors available so you could get a variety to share.
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
This is a sweet cocktail. Hands down, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It is sweet. And I love it. The sweetness comes from the strawberries and luckily there is no artificial sweetener taste coming through. I really hate that!
If you prefer a less sweet cocktail, then you might want to skip this one.
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos
This ready-to-drink cocktail rings in at 8% ABV so it's got a bit of a kick but nothing crazy. This is a cocktail you'd buy for the sweet and bubbliness. Any fuzz that comes from the alcohol itself is like a nice bonus.
Would I buy these again?
Yep, and I'll definitely be trying the other flavors. The Secco lineup also includes mango, peach, grapefruit and cranberry rossinis.
This bottled cocktail is perfect (and easy - double win!) for a low key girls night or a night of self-care in a bubble bath. It's an inexpensive ($6!) guilty pleasure I'll be adding to my life often.

Have you tried this drink? What did you think? I'd love to hear from you in the comments section. The more opinions the better! Let's "drink together" and share our cocktail stories.
Grab our "Sip me baby one more time" plastic champagne flute shown in this review here. Also available in a super sparkly, glitter dipped version here.
Last week I bought the strawberry raspberry and loved it. This week I picked up the peach and mango. They are all delicious, and the price is right. I just had trouble figuring out how to open the bottle. I know the top screws off, but the plastic covering threw me.
