Let's try another ready-to-drink mule, shall we?
Okay, first off - yes, this picture is totally in my Jeep but I promise, the can was closed and I did not drink and drive. It's just that I'm a busy lady and that was the best light I'd run across all week. #realtalk
Now that that's out of the way let's get onto the good stuff. The cocktail.
I'm bringing us back to try out another Moscow Mule since the first one was not great. If you missed my first canned cocktail Moscow Mule you can catch up here. This one from The Cooper Can seemed promising because of the copper colored can (if you put a mule in something that isn't copper is it even still a mule?) and the "craft vodka" line on the label. As I continue to shop and review these ready-to-drink cocktails I'm drawn more and more towards anything that hints of an indie brand. The craft cocktail world is quickly catching up to the craft beer world but more on that later - I have a super exciting expert interview on this topic coming up.
Back to the cocktail at hand - I love it! This canned cocktail is tasty, boozy and well made. Their sites says it is made of 10% 6x distilled vodka. While I don't know exactly what that means, I do know it has a big part of why this cocktail is so great. Vodka is a key ingredient in a mule and this one is super smooth without any bite to it and it really let's the other flavors shine. If you like mules even a little bit this one is worth a try.
Here is official my score for The Copper Can Moscow Mule:
We are on a roll babes! Another 5-shaker review and the third week in a row. Woo-Hoo! The magic seems to be in picking the smaller, lesser known brands that use natural ingredients. The craft cocktails are crushing the big guys.
This ready-to-drink mule is soooo easy to drink. It tastes exactly like it should for a mule with not a hint that it came out of a can. You could absolutely dress this cocktail up with a little mint and pass it off as your own creation. Just don't forget to hide the cans!
One shaker = not sweet at all // Five shakers = your teeth may curl
This cocktail has the right touch of sweetness for a Moscow Mule and it seems to come from the ginger beer. The best part it is, it tastes natural without that added artificial sweetener yuck.
One shaker = does this have booze? Five shakers = Four Lokos
Officially this one rings in at 10% ABV and boasts 3 shots per can! Three. Shots. Per. Can. And thanks to the super distilled vodka, you aren't stuck with a headache the next day.
Would I buy this again?
Yes, this is now my go-to Moscow Mule. I often have cans leftover after I review a cocktail for us. Let's just say some of the extras sit around longer than others. But not this one!
This cocktail came in a case of four and I predict they won't around past the weekend. :)
Have you tried this drink? What did you think? I'd love to hear from you in the comments section. The more opinions the better! Let's "drink together" and share our cocktail stories.
